5 Benefits of Walking daily- Tips to follow
These days everyone is locked up in homes, protecting themselves from this horrid pandemic and trying to stay as healthy as possible but it is important to stay fit too.
Now I am not gonna tell you guys a complicted workout regime because I can imagine how difficult it is to push ourselves to stay true to the regime not just once or twice but for the longer term too, but there is a much simpler easier solution which is walking daily for 30 minutes to an hour.
I am going to share with you guys some benefits of walking daily which have a huge impact on our health and well being.
- Helps in weight loss: Walking is an effective way to burn calories and lose weight. Researchers at the University of Alabama designed an experiment that involved obese patients walking together (a concept known as the ‘walking bus’) to their destinations in and around the city. After eight weeks, their weight was checked, and more than 50% of the participants lost an average of 5 pounds.
- Regulates the Blood pressure: walking improves blood circulation in the body which increases stamina and helps to manage the perfect blood pressure.
- Improved digestion: eating-sitting-sleeping is all that we do on repeat due to which the food we eat is not digested properly and it causes hearburn and upset bowel. So to battle that walking is the key.
- Improves mental health: staying locked up inside the house can be really anxious and have a negative effect on our mental health so it is important that we head outside for fresh air and to relax our mind (wearing medical masks and gloves ofcourse).
- Helps sleep better at night: walking helps to reduce pain and stress which reduces sleep disturbances and results in better sleep which results in an active mind.
