Benefits of Tea
Black Tea or as we say Chaaye, is one of the most consumed
beverages in the world. It is stronger in flavour and has more caffeine than
other teas but lesser than coffee.
There are countless benefits of tea if you ask us, but today
we’ll just let you know a few. So get those saucer cups out and start chugging.
1.
Antioxidant Properties
Antioxidants have a number of benefits. Consuming antioxidants can remove free cells from your body and also decrease cell damage due to which there are lesser chances of chronic diseases. In a study which experimented on rats to study how theaflavins in black tea reduce the risk of diabetes, obesity and high cholesterol showed that theaflavins reduced cholesterol and blood sugar levels. Theaflavins are a type of antioxidants.

2.
Health of Heart
Flavonoid is another type of antioxidant which helps in keeping your heart healthy. They can also be found in fruits, vegetables, dark chocolate and red wine (we don’t suggest the last one). Getting these regularly can reduce the risk of heart diseases, obesity, and elevated cholesterol and sugar levels in blood. A study confirms that drinking 3 cups of tea daily reduces the risk of heart diseases by 11 %.

3.
Reduces risk of cancer
There are more than 100 types of cancer, and not a single one that tea won’t affect. According to studies, tea can prevent the growing of cancer cells. If the cells are prevented from growing, the chances of death by cancer are reduced. Although tea may help, but you should not consider this as an alternative for other treatments, else, the cancer treatment industry will be coming to crush the tea industry, and we don’t want that to happen.

Improves alertness and focus
Black tea has caffeine which improves focus and makes you alert. It also contains L-theanine which is responsible for the calmness of the brain that’s why having tea gives you the stable energy unlike coffee which gives you a limited high for some time and make some people act like over energetic chipmunks which most of us can find in our class ( and you don’t wanna be that person).

It’s easy to make
Unlike other beverages except coffee, it very easy to make. You just add some tea leaves to boiling water for a few minutes and then add some milk according to your taste. Apart from that you can get tea bags and just dip them in hot water and ad-on some milk.

Black tea is a wonderful beverage if you want
a low calorie beverage with lesser caffeine than energy drinks and coffee. You
can have tea for almost anything, can’t open your eyes after waking up? Have
some tea. Want to enjoy a cold weather properly? Have tea. Want to calm your
mind after stressful day? Have tea. TEA TEA TEA. So the next time somebody
tells you why you consume so much tea? Hit them up with these facts.
