You need to include smoothies in your pre-dawn meal and here is why
We always think of healthy intake of food full of nutrients, in Ramadan
but end up eating unhealthy and regret it later on. The main reason behind this
repetitive behavior is our laziness and lack of knowledge. Preparing and
sticking to a healthy meal plan is not difficult once you know and actually
feel the differences in yourself when you switch to it.
On a regular basis most people combine fruits milk,
tons of sugar and ice cream under the name of smoothie and call it healthy and
refreshing but that is not true. Such smoothie like drinks makes you feel lazy
all day and have adverse effects on your overall health as well. Another
misconception regarding smoothies that prevails is that the ones with milk and
dates are rich in nutrients, undoubtedly they are but despite the fact that
dates are rich in iron and milk is rich in calcium, when consumed together
form a compound which the body is unable to absorb and gets excreted from the
intestine right away without benefiting the body so whatever nutrients dates and milk carry go wasted. So adding both of these food items together in the
smoothie won’t be benefiting at all.
The ingredients to the smoothies you need to add in
your pre-dawn meal that will help you stay energetic throughout the day are dates for sure as they are rich in fiber proteins as
well as potassium magnesium and Vitamin B6. You can put other nutrient rich
food combinations together to make up a smoothie like grains nuts and some
vegetables like spinach or carrots and fruits like bananas and blueberries. You
can also add yogurt which is rich in probiotics (but not with dates). This is
an easy way to fulfill your nutrient requirement and ultimately filling up your
energy. There are various recipes for smoothies available on the internet, feel
free to choose any according to your taste.
If you continue to have such smoothies in Ramadan,
you will notice significant changes in your energy levels (guaranteed) and will
feel the need to stick to it for lifetime.
